In from NY for Cedar Point. Tried Mekong on a whim, based on the reviews and pics. We just got a few simple dishes to go - meatball and beef pho and chicken fried rice. No pics here because we ate it so fast! The pho was PERFECT. Everything was super fresh, ready to mix. The beef was even rare enough so it wasn't overdone/tough in the soup. I have to say it's actually better than my local place. If we were staying longer, I'd go back and give the other traditional dishes a try. Their chicken fried rice was also on point, meat tender, fresh veggies, not overly greasy. Quality food and service on a simple order shows me they care. And the hostess was soooo nice, and suggested/gave us an extra container to make sharing easier - much appreciated. If you're close, check it out.

Moderately Americanized Vietnamese food...
Having been a few times now I can say that overall the food is made with care and delivered to the table by a caring staff.
Having spent a little time in Vietnam, I can say the food is... close... to authentic.
The sacrifices made to add some blandness so that the American tastes buds are not so offended I would suppose.
Especially for a town with a very small Vietnamese population!
I like it here, their new location is lovely on the inside and the service remains very very good.
I recommend it! -

Unassuming on the outside but nicely decorated on the inside. Heard from friends about this place and their Pho. That is why the are my friends. They don't steer me wrong. I had the beef and meatball Pho. Adding basil, spicy peppers, pepper oil, lime, and hoisin sauce! A steady but not overwhelming heat added to the excellent base flavor. Portion was large.
I did start out with what they describe as a deep fried crepes with pork filling...I don't know about them being crepes...but they were tasty with the sweet and sour chili sauce.
They carry a large array of craft beers and that seems to be a big niche for them also.
We will be back there when we are out that way again due to the good initial experience and the many tasty looking choices still on the menu. -

Every dish was tasty! The soups were light and flavorful, not salty or oily. Not too spicy by default. Great selection of 16 regional craft brews on tap, but a tad pricey for 12oz pours. Good service.
With all the chain restaurant options on the road, you won't be disappointed by trying something local and fresh like Mekong. -

The Pho was amazing! The service was even better, I was in town visiting CP and it was very close.
